Terascale Simulation Facility logo

Site preparation for the Terascale Simulation Facility (TSF) began in May 2002 and included the installation of perimeter fencing around the construction site, arrival of equipment, removal of existing pavement and trees, site leveling, excavation of the building pad, and the first delivery of materials. Site preparation continued in July 2002 with the installation of a new sewer line for B451 to replace the existing line that runs through the TSF site. The area to be occupied by the computer rooms became visible as the ground was cut down and graded.
